Shurnhold Storage & Recycling is a family-run business, and we realise that having to face a house clearance is a stressful circumstance, as well as being physically demanding.
A house clearance is often required as the result of a bereavement, when the occupant is taken into care, or when someone is emigrating and not taking their possessions with them. In other words, it is usually an unhappy and challenging task to have to effectively consign someone’s belongings to the scrapheap.
If you’re charged with arranging a house clearance anywhere across south west England you will find our help to be invaluable.
Not only do we do the job extremely efficiently and thoroughly, but we do it with sensitivity and great respect. We don’t just callously smash up furniture on the driveway, or throw things away. All the items that we remove from a property are recycled where possible, usually passed on to charities in the local area.
When you need a house clearance – or perhaps a garage or outbuilding clear out – give us a ring and we’ll set a date and arrival time.
You have two options: Make use of our man-and-van waste clearance service, which means we’ll get stuck in and do the hard work for you OR you can order a mini-skip which we’ll bring to the property and you can fill it yourself.
Mini-skips can be hired for as long as you need. Once the skip is full, we will fetch it on the same day if you wish, and recycle most of the unwanted items it contains.
If you opt for our man-and-van house clearance, we recommend that you remove any items you want to keep (such as heirlooms or photographs) from the property ahead of our arrival, then leave it to us to empty the house of everything else.
Shurnhold Storage & Recycling is owned and run by husband and wife, David and Lianne in Melksham, Wiltshire. Also on the team are skip manager, Steven Chappell, Contract Manager, Jordan Kirk, and general waste specialist Nigel Barnett.
